Doris May (Sisler) Born, 72, of Reedsville, WV, passed away Monday, March 23, 2026, at WVU Medicine J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV.

She was born in Morgantown, WV, on July 13, 1953, a daughter of the late Raymond Richard Sisler and Garnet Ruth (Born) Sisler.

Doris was a 1971 graduate of Valley High School. She took on the most important role as homemaker raising her three children. Her happiest moments were with her grandchildren, who were her pride and joy. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend. Doris found great joy in bringing her family together, helping to host Sunday dinners for many years. She also had a passion for gardening, growing beautiful flowers, and bird watching. Doris also enjoyed antiquing with her husband and sisters.

Doris is survived by her husband of 51 years, Alan D. "Mick" Born; two sons, Michael Born and wife, Kayla and Matthew Born and wife, Kristy; a daughter, Melissa Livengood and husband, Tobey; four grandchildren, Zachary, McCaela, Zeke, and Max; sisters, Susie Smith and husband, George, Becky Walters and twin sister, Deloris Turner and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Agnes M. Hileman and Janet R. Bragg and three brothers, Rex. R. Sisler; Robert R. Sisler and Bernard "Jimmy" Sisler.

Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown, WV, on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, from 9:00 am until the 11:00 am time of service with her nephew, Scott Cress officiating. Interment will be in West Virginia National Cemetery in Pruntytown, WV.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Doris' memory may be made to the American Red Cross by donating blood.
