Teresa Marie Messenger, 53, of Masontown, WV passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at Mon Health Medical Center, Morgantown, WV.

Born on February 9, 1972, in Kingwood, WV, a daughter of the late Willard Elvon "Butch" Teets and Dolores (Turner ) Teets of Masontown, WV.

She enjoyed fishing, riding ATV's, and the outdoors. She loved rock music and riding Harleys with Howard. She never met a stranger and was always making new friends. She enjoyed having a good time and living life to the fullest.

In addition to her mother, Teresa is survived by two daughters, Rachelle Cochran and husband, Alex of Bartonsville, PA; Shanelle Carlson and husband, AJ of Denver, CO; her fiancé, Howard Auvil of Independence, WV and numerous friends and extended family.

Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home on Saturday, February 7, 2026 from 1 to 4 p.m.. Following the visitation, Field Funeral Home will provide compassionate and professional cremation services.
