Jerald Martin Kesner Obituary

Jerald Martin Kesner, 59, of Albright, WV, formerly of Arthurdale, WV, passed away Saturday, November 22, 2025, at WVU Medicine J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital.

He was born in San Jose, CA, on April 17, 1966, a son of the late James Kesner and Juanita (Myers) Gillispie.

Jerald spent many years as a dedicated truck driver, even after retiring, he loved nothing more than getting behind the wheel and seeing where the open road would lead him. He loved tending to his mother's yard and could often be found tinkering with anything he could lay a hand on. Jerald cherished the times he spent singing karaoke with his father and brother.

Jerald is survived by a son, Brandon Kesner of Soddy-Daisy, TN, son, Nathan Smith; a daughter, Traci and husband Michael Sandy of Clarksburg, WV; four grandchildren, Zacariah Smith, Henasey Elder, and Reagan Smith; two sisters, Jeanette Moran and husband, Ken of Arthurdale, and Jamie Kesner; nieces, Stephanie Waters and husband, Lionel, Kati, Hopi, and Lyric; nephews, Shawn Moran, Tim Kesner, Jacob Kesner, Dakota Kesner, De'Vante, and Javian; great niece, Kaylee, and great nephews, Lionel III and Asher.

In addition to his parents, Jerald was preceded in death by a brother, Jeffery "Doc" Kesner.

To honor Jerald's wishes, there will be no public services. The Field Funeral Home in Masontown, WV, will be providing compassionate and professional cremation services with the assistance of Eternal Life Cremation Services LLC.
