Patrick Joseph “Joey” Gibson, 65, of Masontown, WV, passed away Thursday, October 9, 2025, at his home.

He was born in Pennsylvania on March 24, 1960, son of the late Delmer Paul Gibson Sr. and Anna Marie Kmetz.

Joey was a kindhearted man who never met a stranger. He enjoyed visiting with friends, old school rock n roll, and spending time with his favorite lady, Ruthie and their fur baby, Spencer.

Joey will be missed by everyone he touched during his life. This includes Ruth's sons, Donald and Darren Myers, his neighbor and close friend, Iona Barnett, who looked after him and his beloved band friends he and Ruth made over the years.

In addition to his parents, Joey is preceded in death by his companion of 22 years, Ruth Marie Myers; sisters, Karen Kay Gibson and Emma Jean Nixon and brothers, Kevin L. Gibson and Delmer Gibson, Jr.

Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, from 4 pm until the 5 pm celebration of life service with Pastor Sam Moon officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
