Janet Sue (Ware) Jones, 78, of Kingwood, WV, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at home with family by her side.

She was born on January 21, 1947, a daughter of the late Lawrence and Esteline (Everson) Ware.

Janet was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was a 1965 graduate of Kingwood High School and then graduated from West Virginia Business College. Janet attended the Kingwood Southern Baptist Church.

She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, George Dwight Jones, whom she married March 10, 1967; a daughter, Kimberly Sue Haskiell and husband, Roger "Sam"; a son, Gregory Allen Jones and wife, Danette, all of Kingwood; six grandchildren, Cory Ryan Haskiell, Justin Todd Haskiell and wife, Ashley, Megan Leanne Haskiell, Nathan Jones and wife, Meghan, Lacie Dillsworth and husband, Jonathen, and Nicholas Jones; seven great grandchildren, Gabriel, Olivia, and Maddox Haskiell, Theodore Haskiell, Jackson and Ellie Dillsworth, and Franklin Jones; two brothers, Franklin "Sonny" Ware and wife, Joyce of Valley Point, Gary Ware and wife, Donna of North Carolina; and two sisters, Linda Ware of Kingwood, and Donna Lambert and husband, Ron of Kingwood.

In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by her son, Kevin Matthew Jones in 2014, and one brother, Gale Ware.

Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Friday, August 1, 2025, from 11 am until the 1 pm time of service with Pastor Eric Gren officiating. Entombment will follow in the Sunset Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Kingwood.
