Willard James Thomas, Jr, 63, of Bretz, WV, passed away July 15, 2025, at the WV Caring Hospice Center in Elkins.

He was born July 9, 1962, in Ravenna, Ohio, a son of the late Willard James Thomas Sr. and Mary Madeline (Sloop) Thomas.

He was a loving father, brother and friend. Willie loved to fish, work on anything and everything and be around family and friends.

Willard is survived by three daughters, April Thomas and companion Greg Craddock of Morgantown, Tina and Michael Turner of Reedsville, Stephanie Thomas of Masontown; one son, Willard James Thomas III of Parkersburg; three stepchildren, Kenneth Doman Jr. and companion Amber Murray of Morgantown, Racheal and Donald Cress Jr. of Morgantown and Christopher and Sydney Turner of Fairmont; three sisters, Bonnie and Nick Stoffels of Texas, Mary and Ray Hash of Valley Point and Cindy and Paul Miller Jr. of Bretz; 15 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Timothy Thomas and Joseph Thomas and his cousin who was like a brother to him, Wayne Thomas.

To honor his wishes, Field Funeral Home in Masontown will provide compassionate and professional cremation services. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
