Shela JoAnn (Bolyard) Frum, 89, of Kingwood, went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 30, 2025, at Kingwood Healthcare Center.

She was born September 1, 1935, in Albright, WV, a daughter of the late Ferris T. Bolyard and Effie O. (Hoffman) Bolyard.

Shela was a graduate of Kingwood High School and WV Business College. On November 25, 1954, Shela married her true love, Jesse "Dale" Frum. She was employed by the United States Government Civilian Infantry Division at the Pentagon, in Washington D.C. for 15 years as a secretary. Upon moving to Preston County, she worked locally at Penmarva Grocers Association, A-K Chevrolet, and operated her own accounting service. She and her husband, Dale, were entrepreneurs in three family-style restaurants called, "The Mountaineer Room", "Shela's Restaurant", and "D&D's Kitchen" in Kingwood for several years. Mrs. Frum and her husband cared for 29 foster children, over the period of 31 years. Shela last attended HOPE Church of Morgantown. Her passion was serving the Lord and using her God given talent, singing. She was an avid Prayer Warrior as well.

Shela shared her smile and love to others. She would never let you leave her home, without giving you something to take with you. She will be dearly missed by family and friends, yet welcomed home from our Heavenly Father.

She is survived by two daughters, Lou Ann Prinkey and Denise Kenney and husband Tom; foster children, who were as close as biological children, L.J. Smouse, John Newlon and Dusty McCauley; 11grandchildren; 31great grandchildren; brother, John Bolyard and wife Judy; two sisters, Sharyn Tourville and Ferrie Ann Ball and husband Carl and several other foster children, and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Jesse Dale Frum; two granddaughters, Amber Golden and Shanna Whetsell; a brother, Glen Bolyard and his wife Mary and a son-in-law, Barry Prinkey.

Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown, WV on Saturday, June 7, 2025, from 11 am until the 1 pm time of service with Rev. Thomas Kenney officiating, Interment will follow at the Maplewood Cemetery in Kingwood.
