Obituary of Mary Elizabeth Linton
Mary Elizabeth Linton, 76, of Reedsville, WV, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, February 13, 2025, at home.
Mary was born on Scotch Hill, in Newburg, WV, on July 17, 1948, a daughter of the late Roy Eugene May and Mildred May (Boling) May.
Mary took on the most important role of homemaker. She loved to crochet, garden, and in her younger years, sew. Mary was a previous member of the Newburg Methodist Church. She was a Graduate of Newburg High Class of 1966.
Mary is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Robert Lee Linton; daughter, Stacey Linton; son, Robert Eugene Linton and wife, Victoria; sister, Gloria Huffman; two half-sisters, Janice Higley and Rebecca Morgan; four grandchildren, Ashlee and companion Bradley Cottrell, Mickayla Travis and husband, Cody, Mickenzie Schroth and husband, Austin, and Mariah Thomas; great grandchildren, Trenten Matlick, Graylynn and Gannon Travis, Aiden, Harmony, and Brier Schroth; sister-in-law, Norma Jean Linton, and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by a brother, Paul May.
Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown, WV, on Tuesday, February 18, 2024, from 11:00 am until the 1:00 pm time of service with Pastor Sonny Menear officiating.
