Velma Jean "Jeanne" (Satterfield) Bucklew, 79, of Arthurdale, WV, passed away Friday, May 24, 2024, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV.

She was born in Fairmont, WV on July 8, 1944, a daughter of the late Raymond Satterfield and Dorothy (McHenry) Satterfield.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved her cats, decorating for all seasons and holidays, reading, gardening, spending time with her friends and family and shopping at thrift stores. She retired after 21 years as a nursing assistant at Monongalia General Hospital. Jeanne loved to travel and was able to visit Europe, Alaska and Hawaii with her husband, George. She will be sadly missed by friends and family.

She is survived by her children, Steven Robe and wife, Melissa, Tina Kendall and husband, Stephen, Gregory Robe and wife, Missy and Vickie DeRiggi and husband, Robert; stepdaughters, Terry Timmons and husband, Kevin and Elizabeth Bucklew; one brother, Joseph Satterfield and wife, Kitty; two sisters, Linda Haney and husband Jerry and Esther Summers; 15 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Jeanne was preceded in death by her husband, George Bucklew in 2022; three brothers, David Satterfield, Claude Satterfield and Samuel Satterfield and a sister, Nada Rager.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date at the WV National Cemetery in Pruntytown, WV. Cremation services were entrusted to Field Funeral Home in Masontown. Condolences may be extended online to the family at www.fieldfuneralhome.com.
