Glenn Street Family contact: Rosamond Street Viewing times: Friday March 10, 2006 Funeral time: Private Notes: Glenn Richard Street Sr., died Wednesday, March 8, 2006 at Monongalia General Hospital in Morgantown. He was born in Masontown, the son of the late Lawrence and Pauline Cobun Street.His mother passed away when he was an infant, and he was raised by his step-mother, the late Lucy Ferrell Street.His grandfather, Frank Street, founded Street Motor Co. in 1915. Glenn was the third generation Ford Dealer, and was the president of Street Motor Co. from 1958 until 2001 when it celebrated it’s 81st anniversary. It had the distinction of being the oldest family owned Ford dealership in West Virginia. Glenn was an avid WVU sports fan. He was a member of the National Guard for ten years, a graduate of Masontown High School, Morgantown Business College and attended West Virginia University. He was a member of the Masontown United Methodist Church, Preston Masonic Blue Lodge #90, Scottish Rite Free Masonry, OSIRIS Shriner, and Past Grand Royal Patron of WV - Amaranth. He was a former member of the Preston County Board of Education and a former member of the Valley District Lion’s Club. He especially loved his grandchildren and enjoyed attending their activities. He is survived by his wife Rosamond Irene Gregory Street; two sons and spouses, Glenn Richard, Jr. and Peggy Street of Arthurdale, and Gregory and Linda Street of Masontown; two daughters and spouses, Susan and Stephen Henthorn of Broadview Hts., OH, and Catherine and David Kelly of Canonsburg, PA; ten grandchildren, Jennifer Henthorn Smith and spouse Mathew Smith, Kristen Henthorn, Zachary Street, Jonathan Street, Chelsey Street, Rebecca Street, Kaitlyn Street, Matthew Kelly, Lauren Kelly, Michelle Kelly, and a great granddaughter, Rachel Smith. Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Friday, March 10, 2006 from 7 to 9 pm. A private funeral service will be held by the family at a later date.
